HUGH GORDON BELL

BELL, HUGH GORDON - Hugh Gordon Bell husband of Lida (Lawson) Bell of Saint John passed away Sunday July 8, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1919 in Empress Alberta to the late Roy Wesley and Ethel (Smith) Bell. Hugh was a WWII Veteran and served in the Air Force in England and in Newfoundland. He worked as a Truck Driver, School Bus driver and life long woodsman. He was a 55 year member of St. Martin's Lodge # 30 F & A.M. Hugh is survived by his wife of 65 years; sons, Hugh Lawson (Vickey Steeves) Bell of Dawson Settlement, NB and John David (Barbara Wallace) Bell of Sudbury, ON; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Rhea, Edna, Audrey and step-sister Joan. Besides his parents, Hugh was predeceased by his brother, Wesley; his sister, Lillian; and stepbrother, Charlie. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation starting Tuesday July 10, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with Masonic Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday July 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Following cremation interment will take place at Brown's Cemetery in Bains Corner, NB at a later date.
