BEAIRSTO, MARGARET "PEGGY" - Margaret "Peggy" Beairsto, wife of the late William F Beairsto, passed away at home on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the age of 88. Born in Toronto, Ontario on June 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Burrows) McNaughton. Peggy is survived by sons Doug Beairsto and John "Jack" Beairsto (Kay) of Fredericton; daughter Shirley Springer (Frank) of Fredericton; brothers Jack McNaughton of North Vancouver, BC and Bill McNaughton of Newcastle, Ont; sister-in law Sheila McNaughton of Barrie, Ont; five grandchildren Josh and Jason Beairsto of Fredericton, Scott Springer of Woodstock, Matthew (Melissa) and Michael (Angie) Springer of Fredericton; three great grandchildren Andrew, Breanna, and Brooklynn Springer and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was predeceased by her parents; husband William Frederick Beairsto; sister Jean McNaughton; brothers Gordon and Bob McNaughton; sisters-in-law Ruth and Ann McNaughton. Peggy was a member of Wilmot United Church and active in the UCW at Wilmot. She was a member of the Governor Carleton Chapter of the IODE. She enjoyed traveling on senior bus trips and with her husband on many trips to England and Scotland. Visitation will be at McAdams Select Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton on Wednesday July 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Wilmot United Church, 473 King Street, Fredericton on Thursday July 12, 2007 at 11 am with Very Rev. Peter Short and Rev. Ellen Beairsto officiating. Internment will be in Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension, Woodstock Road, Fredericton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fredericton Extra Mural Nursing Program, or any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
