SETCHELL, MRS. ALDA (1920 - 2007) - Passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John on Sunday, July 8th, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Alda was the wife of the late Samuel S. Setchell (March 21st, 2001) of Riverview, NB. Born and raised in Elgin, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Coy and Rena (Smith) Goggin. Alda was a graduate of Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. Retired from T. Eaton Co. as a Personnel Manager. Alda lived in Riverview for most of her life. She was a very outgoing, friendly person, who always had a smile for others. Alda enjoyed playing bridge, spending time at the cottage, family get-togethers and travelling with friends. She is survived by her children; Frank (Diane) of Rothesay, NB & Michael of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, son-in-law: Merle Wilson of Moncton, NB, one brother; Austin Goggin (Evelyn) of Sussex, NB, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and husband, Alda was predeceased by her daughter; Patricia Wilson on May 31st, 2007, one brother; Arthur Goggin. A reception to commemorate Alda's life will be held from the Garden View Room at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, July 13th, 2007 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations to the CNIB, Friends of The Moncton Hospital & the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the Setchell family.
