CORMIER, LAURIE JOSEPH (LARRY) - The death of Laurie Joseph (Larry) Cormier occurred on Saturday July 14, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1939 in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Isaic and Emillie (Collette) Cormier. Larry worked as a Longshoreman for many years. He was an avid Horse Racing fan, and spent a lot of time at the E.P.R. He is survived by his son, Paul Cormier (Cathy) of Grand Bay-Westfield; step sons, Robert Mitchell (Cheryl), Kevin Mitchell and David Mitchell (Colleen); step daughters, Susan Davidson (John) and Cathy Mitchell; grandchildren, Joey, Tabatha and Brent; step grandchildren, Christy, John Jr., Ashley and Brandon; brother, Raymond Cormier (Celeste); sisters, May Losier, Andrea Guimond, Florence Arseneau and Ilene Richard; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by wife, Marie (McCain) Cormier; brothers, Roger, Alcide and Albert Cormier; sisters, Irene Gerard, Stella Kennedy, Edithe Losier and Georgina Nauss. By request there will be no visitations or funeral service. The family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
