MERCER, VIVIAN FRANCIS - The death of Vivian Francis Mercer, age 64, wife of Lawrence C. Mercer, of Norton, NB, occurred on July 16, 2007, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Pearsonville, New Brunswick, April 6, 1943, the daughter of Verna (Dibblee) Murphy, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, and the late George Murphy. She is survived by her husband; her mother; and two sons, Ronald and Dianne Mercer, Lower Hainesville, and Gordon and Gail Mercer, Norton; one daughter, Sheila and Jim McCrea, Collina; five grandchildren, Jody Murphy, Katie and Kirk Mercer, Chris, Jason, and Kelsey Richardson; two great-grandchildren, Sierra Murphy and Dameon Richardson; three brothers, Ray and Louise Murphy, Orangeville, ON, Don and Angela Murphy, Norton, and Wayne Murphy, Ottawa, ON; three sisters, Doris and George Everett, Oshawa, ON, Shirley and George Adler, Toronto, ON, and Diane and Gordon Bursey, Sarnia, ON; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter. The family will receive visitors at Sherwood's Funeral Home, (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, on Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Norton Wesleyan Church, at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 20, 2007.
