Brantford, Ont. With sadness we announce the passing of Delores Groom at the John Noble Home, Brantford, Ont., on April 26, 2008. Born in Glace Bay, N.S., on July 19, 1931. Delores is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Cliff) McIntosh, London, Ont.; and her sons, Peter (Grace) Groom, Glace Bay, N.S., Richard Groom, Alberta; as well as 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; by her sister, Bernadette McMullin and by numerous nephews and nieces, including her special niece, Rhodina (Gerard) MacNeil. Delores was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Groom, by her daughter, Belinda, her son, James, by grandson, James Groom Jr., by her parents, Lydia and Pierre Muise and by 11 brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Brantford, Ont., Thursday May 1, 2008, at 1 p.m. If wished, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society gratefully appreciated.
