WESLEY " WES" DAVID FOX
FOX, WESLEY " WES" DAVID - passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, July 20th, 2007. Born on June 28th, 1932, in Saint John, New Brunswick son of the late George and Inez (Nason) Fox. Wes served five years in the Royal Canadian Navy (1952 - 1957) during which he attended the coronation of the Queen. Wes and Betty lived in Toronto, Ontario, for 12 years, during that time he was employed with Cutler - Hammer. Returning to Saint John in 1975 with his family, Wes worked for the Justice Department of the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre from where he retired after 17 years of service. Wes was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #69 and was also a member of the Old Timers Pool League, Fairville. Wes is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty (Fleet) Fox; son, Stan Gaudet (Maureen), Milford; grandchildren, Josh Gaudet, Karen and Corie Fox; one great - granddaughter, Courtney O'Brien; brothers, Gary (Roz) of Grand Bay, Steve of Milford, and Andy (Rossanne) of Greendale; sisters-in-law, Beverly Fox, Diane Fox and Joan Fox, all of Saint John. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Wes was predeceased by, step-daughter, Linda Gaudet-Fox; four brothers, George, Jim, Donald and Raymond; and one sister, Joan Urquhart-Fox. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 24th, in Castle Funeral Home (Fallsview Chapel), 309 Lancaster Avenue.
