Sydney It is with broken hearts and tears in our eyes that we the family announce the passing of baby Carter Alexander MacDonald on April 30, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sydney, March 18, 2008, he was the son of Jacqueline MacLean and Shawn MacDonald. Carter is survived by his maternal grandparents, Janet and Alex MacLean; paternal grandparents, John and Claudelle MacDonald; maternal great-grandparents, Sandra and Wilfred MacLean; paternal great-grandmothers, Cecilia Cormier, Catherine Sykes; also his great-grandfather, Gilbert MacDonald; and uncles, Adam MacLean and Corey MacDonald. Carter, you may have only been on this earth for a brief time, but we loved you as much as we would have in a lifetime. You were a precious gift from God.
