WOOD, DOROTHY E. (HARRIS) - Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, July 29th, 2007. Born on August 28th, 1920 in England, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Anne (Rayment) Harris. Wife of the late James Charles Wood. Dorothy was a receptionist for many years with Dr. W.O. Mulligan, Orthodontist, and was involved in many organizations within St. George's Anglican Church such as, the Mother's Union, Marthas and Marys, and was involved the church choir. She was also a volunteer and pianist at the Carleton-Kirk Nursing Home. Dorothy will be sadly missed by son, Ronald (Carolyn); two daughters, Verna (Norm) Keating and Donna Laskey; two brothers, Reg (Stella) Harris and Neil (Marguerite) Harris; two sisters, Violet Woods and Florence (Hartley) Jones; a special cousin, Ted (Vonnie) Harris; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her sister, Winnifred Hallett; son-in-law, William Laskey; and grand daughter, Janice Keating. Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701), visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1st, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church, 100 Watson St. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the St. George's Memorial Fund.
