FERRIS, MARGARET ELIZABETH - The death of Margaret Elizabeth Ferris, wife of the late Donald Ferris, occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933 in Corner Brook, NL she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Moores) Carter. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, and spending time with her family. She worked in Environmental Services at the General Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital for a number of years. She is survived by her loving children Marie Whalen (Clinton) of Saint John, Pat Gomke (Dieter) of Saint John, Donald Ferris (Sherry) of Saint John, Billy Ferris (Debbie) of Moncton, Linda Butler (Roy) of Saint John, Raymond Ferris (Neely) of St. Andrew's, Carol Good (Barry) of Pickering, ON, Gordon Ferris (Mary T.) of Quispamsis and Pam Harquail (Rick) of Maple Ridge, BC; grandchildren Beth, Clinton Jr., Laurie, Peter, Chrissy, Jonathon, Bill Jr., Dawn, Lorna, Roy, Robbie, Cody, Jessica, Jennifer, Shayna, Chelsea, Joshua, Julie, Katie and Jackie; great grandchildren Kyle, Jamye, Halie, Nicholas, Emily, Mathayus, Tommy, Zoe, Brook, Alicia, Kaylie, William, Shaylnn, Carly and Damien; brothers Jack Carter and Ralph Osmond both of Newfoundland; sisters Della Wells and Shirley Walsh both of Newfoundland; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday August 3, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Saturday August 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Following cremation a private family interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
