DICKIE, JOSEPH A. - The death of Joseph Alexander Dickie of Cornhill, NB occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex on August 15, 2007. Born at Cornhill on May 12, 1916 he was a son of the late David and Maggie (McLean) Dickie and was the husband of Marjorie D. (Perry) Dickie who passed away in 2003. Joseph is survived by his daughters, Doreen (Arnold) Wood of Sussex, Jeanie (Lev) Crowe of Newtown, Jennie (Irvine) Rouse of Orangeville, ON, Linda Mason of Cornhill, Carolyn (Carter) Nelson of Vermillion Bay, ON and Judith (Thomas) Dalling of Waterford; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Miriam Anderson and Viola Thorne; one brother, Charlie. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 18th, 2007 at the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery.
