
WAYNE TURNER INGERSOLL
INGERSOLL, WAYNE TURNER - Wayne Turner Ingersoll, 92, of Woodwards Cove, Grand Manan passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home, on Friday, August 24th, 2007. Born at Woodwards Cove he was the son of the late Clinton and Helen Ingersoll of Woodwards Cove. Mr. Ingersoll was a much respected entrepreneur and business man in the community. Mr. Ingersoll was involved in several businesses and was well known in the fishing community as a captain, fisherman, a scaler, a freighter, and a proprietor of the Woodwards Cove Car Wash and Garage for several years until his retirement. He was very involved in the Woodwards Cove Christian Advent Church and acted as a deacon and director for several years. He is survived by one son, Curtis (Mary) of St. George; one daughter, Sheila (Gerry) Fleet of Grand Harbour; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ingersoll was predeceased by his wife, Annie M.Ingersoll; one daughter, Roseland Farnsworth; one brother, Donald Ingersoll; and one sister, Eunice Tatton. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Sunday, 2 to 4 PM; 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the North Head Wesleyan Church on Monday, August 27th with Rev. Charles Bain officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot North Head Community Cemetery.
