EVA ELIZABETH CARR

CARR, EVA ELIZABETH - On Friday, August 24th, 2007 at the Oromocto Public Hospital, Eva Elizabeth (Mowry) Carr of Geary, N.B., passed peacefully away surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born March 15th, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Harriett (Booker) Mowry, and the wife of the late Rued Carr. She was a devoted mother and friend to many over the years. Eva delighted in visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a quiet kindness that reached out to all who knew her. Eva will be remembered for her life-long love of animals, birds and the beauty of nature. In addition to her parents and husband, Eva is predeceased by her sisters, Helen Harris, Mildred Harris, Doris Galbraith, Mae Morgan, Evelyn Duncan-White; and brothers, John, Stewart and Manford Mowry. Eva is survived by her children, Ronald (Linda) Carr of Fredericton, Bonnie (Robert) Harnish of Geary, Arthur (Debbie) Carr of Douglas, Darrell (Dolores) Carr of Moncton, Heather (Ian) Boone of Geary, Lorraine (Linden) Ball of Waterville, and Laurie (Darlene) Carr of Edmonton, AB; sister-in-law, Edith Allen of Fredericton; brother-in-law, Ray (Myrtle) Carr of Geary; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Cindy-Lou. Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home (108 Winnebago Street) on Monday, August 27th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 28th, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mark Noel officiating, followed by interment in the Spurden & Preseton Carr Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her seven grandsons, Neil, Nelson, Todd, Mark, Charles, Scott, and Brent. Honorary pallbearers will be her eleven granddaughters, Tania, Tracy, Nancy, Sarah M., April, Heather, Pamela, Paula, Jodee, Sarah H and Angie. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Oromocto SPCA, The Extra-Mural Hospital, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.oromoctofh.com (357-5100)
