84, Mill Creek It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Teresa Emma (Jessome) Kaloc on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow. Born in Mill Creek, she was the daughter of the late William Vincent and Theresa (O’Connor) Jessome. She was a member of St. Joseph’s parish, Bras d’Or. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline (Melvin) Harrietha, Mill Creek; her son, Joseph (Linda) Kaloc, New Glasgow; her extended family, Sophia MacDonald and Terry and Blair Jessome; her five grandchildren, Tanya, Trevor, Tammy, James and Joanne and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Carmella (Doug) Dohorty, Halifax. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving companion of 36 years, Stan Perry; two sisters, Deliah Millen and Eugena Phyllis and three brothers, Stanfield Jessome, Theodore and Cecil Miles Jessome and her nephew, Charles Jessome. She spent most of her life in Ontario, but moved back to Mill Creek, where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law. Her favourite past time was making quilts for her family, sewing, crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends. Visitation today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Bras d’Or. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the N.S. Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
