DARRELL, LEONA JANE - Leona "Jane" (Riordan) Darrell of Hampton, passed away September 11, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Jane was born on September 3, 1938 and was predeceased by her father Daniel Riordan and mother Pauline (Connors) Riordan. Jane will join her late brother Paul Daniel Riordan and her late sister Jacklyn Handeland in Heaven. Jane was born in Blacks Harbour and grew up in West Saint John. Jane was a loving and devoted wife to Carl David Darrell. She and Carl raised their children in Hampton and still reside there. She is survived by her husband Carl; children, Tanya Melvin (Randy), Saint John, Carl Darrell (Kim), Quispamsis, Krista Brown (David), Terrace, BC; grandchildren, Shayne, Caitlin, Josh, Cody, Logan, Dakota, Kara and Daniel; sisters, Monica Armstrong, Saint John, Margaret McCarthy, Kingston, ON; several nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, 10:00 am at St. Alphonsus Church, Hampton. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Memorials to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visiting 7-9pm Friday. Parish vigil prayers will be on Friday, 6:45pm at the funeral home.
