77, New Waterford It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Hinchey on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Power) Hinchey. Dorothy was a homemaker and a very quiet lady. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking, reading and watching television. Dorothy is survived by five sisters, Judy (Lawrence) MacLean, Deanie Scott, Stella (Bernie) Heinekamp, all of New Waterford, Florence (Steve) Williams and Jacquline (Melvin) Aucoin, both of Ontario; one brother, David, New Waterford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by six sisters, Marjorie, Peggy, Christina, Shirley and twin girls in infancy, and three brothers, David James, William and Edward. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will take place at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500, Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
