JOHNSTON, KENNETH DOUGLAS - of Simms Court, died by accident on Thursday Sept 20,2007. He was the son of the late Keith and Evelyn (Buchanan) Johnston. Ken is predeceased by his wife Rose (Oliver) in 2005, and a sister Phyllis Johnston. He is survived by daughters Leanne (Jim) Kelley of Rothesay, N.B and Judy (Bob) Beaton of Sherwood Park, Alb. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Brad, Mark and Jill Beaton, and Ryan and Michael Kelley. He served in the 2nd World War flying many missions and was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was also a past grand master of the Masonic Lodge in Port Hawkesbury Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home. By Ken's request, cremation has taken place with no visitation or memorial service. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday Sept 25th at 2:30 pm at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donors choice.
