FAWCETT, (FOSTER) GLADYS MARJORIE - The death of Gladys M. Fawcett of 1100 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, wife of the late Herbert Earle Fawcett, occurred on September 24th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, October 20, 1920 she was a daughter of the late William Alexander and Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Foster. Early in her life she had worked as a clerk with Beck's Drycleaners. Gladys was a member of the RCL Auxiliary Branch # 22 and the Hillcrest Seniors. Survived by her two sons, Holly (Melody) Fawcett of Grand Bay - Westfield, NB and Richard (Dianne) Fawcett of Quispamsis, NB; three sisters, Doris Richardson of Saint John, Betty Delazzario of California, USA and Audrey Slade of Brampton, ON; two brothers, Billy (Peggy) Foster and Burton (Gail) Foster, both of Saint John; seven grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Purcell, Grant (Cathy) Fawcett, Melissa (Sarah) Fawcett, Krista (Stephan) Mawhinney, Denise Johnston, Darren (Sue) Johnston, Jeremey (Amanda) Hamm and Katie Fawcett; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Herbert; infant daughter, Heather; and a brother, Alison Foster. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Friday, September 28th, 2007 at 11 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Old Cemetery. Reception to follow at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home.
