DOMENICO ("TONY") ANDRIANI
ANDRIANI, DOMENICO ("TONY") - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Domenico Andriani on September 29th, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Maria (DiVincenzo) of fifty-five years; and their four children, Elisa Gamble (George) of Rothesay, Ivano Andriani (Patricia Graves) of Halifax, Cindia Andriani (Cecil King) of Moncton and Loredana Andriani (Doug Tremblay) of Saint John. He is also survived by one sister, Armida Andriani of Penne, Italy; eleven grandchildren, Mark, Alex, and Andrea Gamble, Stefano, Tia and Lena Andriani, and Matteo, Milena, Dino, Sofia and Silvio Tremblay; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an older son, Dino and his wife, Anne Marie (Till) and their children, Tressa and Sante; as well as one brother, Angelo Andriani. Born October 28, 1926 and raised in Penne, Italy, he left his home in 1947 in pursuit of a better future. Before settling in Saint John in 1952, he worked in Belgium, Montréal, Toronto and Newfoundland. The majority of his working life was with Saint John Shipbuilding, where he spent 33 years as a Stage Builder and always had fond memories of his night shift crew. Those who knew him, will remember him as a tireless, hard-working man, immensely proud of his family, who without hesitation, would lend a hand to help a neighbor or a friend. Visitation will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, on Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at Stella Maris Church on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Sei stato nella mia vita per 55 anni con amore.
