McNEILL, JACQUELINE A. - The death of Jacqueline (Jackie) A. McNeill, wife of Wallace McNeill, occurred on Tuesday October 2, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1924 in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Rebecca Patrick. Jackie worked as a Nurses Aid during WWII, Centra Care, Dr. Roberts Hospital, New Brunswick Protestant Orphanage, and a Home Care Worker taking care of the sick and many children. She was a member of the Martello Temple Phythian Sisters for 60 years and Ladies Auxiliary with the Royal Canadian Legion Jarvis Bay Branch # 53. Besides her husband she is survived by son Ian McNeill of Alberta; daughters Carol Swan (Gerald) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Margaret Lavrentiadis (Gus) of Alberta and Donna Richard of Saint John; one sister Evelyn Bragdon of Mississauga, ON; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by daughter Rebecca Trask and her brothers and sisters. By request there will be no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 6, 2007 at 11 am. A Private family interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
