Diane Marie Mills

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Diane Mills, which occurred on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her residence in Sydney River. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bishop) MacIntyre. For the past 12 years, Diane was employed at MacGillivary Guest Home. Diane had a great love for her work and this love was returned abundantly by both the staff and the residents. Prior to this, Diane was employed at Lingan Golf and Country Club for many years. She is survived by her only pride and joy, her son, Jason and his loving wife Andrea (Forgeron) and only granddaughter, Makayla Lynn Marie, all of Edmonton, Alta. Also surviving are brothers, John ‘Bud’ (Mona) MacIntyre, Stephen ‘Sprite’ (Sandy) MacIntyre, Todd ‘Dusty’ (Carolyn) MacIntyre, sister and best friend, Nancy MacIntyre, all of Sydney; as well as many nieces, nephews and one grandnephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Greg Mills. Visitation for the late Diane Mills will take place this evening (Friday, May 9, 2008) from 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral service will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sydney River United Protestant Church with Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
