VELMA KEITH

KEITH, VELMA - Velma Louise Keith, 92, of Salisbury and formerly Havelock passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Havelock she was a daughter of the late Roy W. and Naomi (Hoar) Thorne. As a homemaker she was a devoted wife and mother who worked alongside her late husband Cyrus on their family farm. A member of the Havelock Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher. Survived and sadly missed by her children, Gary (Marie) of Salisbury, Garnet (Nancy) of Havelock, Sharon Ward (Gary) of Salisbury with whom she resided and Glendon (Diane) of Milton ON; grandchildren, Kelly Rodgers, Penny Locco, Tracy Sears, Amy Keith, Rhonda Lewis, Jeffrey Perry, Amanda, Aja and Nathan Keith and by nine great grandchildren. Survived also by sisters, Doris Eagles (late Malcolm) of Salisbury, Hilda Walker (Tennyson), Helen Corey (Willis) of Moncton; brothers, Clinton Thorne (Flora) and Stuart Thorne (Jean) of Havelock; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Cyrus (1976); a sister, Della Perry; an infant sister, Lois and a brother, Chester Thorne; daughter in law, Margaret Keith. Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from Havelock Baptist Church on Sunday November 18 at 2 p.m with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Interment will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.
