MCLEAN, R.N, DONNA CAROL FITZPATRICK - April 4, 1939 - November 22, 2007 Donna McLean, wife of Thomas McLean, of 30 Winslow Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at Miramichi Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 22, 2007 surrounded by her family. Donna will be lovingly remembered by her close knit family; adoring husband, Thomas McLean; wonderful daughter, Patricia Ann McLean and faithful sons, Kristopher Bryan McLean (Kendra) and Kevin Thomas McLean (Susan). Donna was the proud grandmother of three beautiful granddaughters, Sara, Kelly and Kailyn. She will be dearly missed as the head of her loving siblings, Geraldine Jones (Bryan), Thomas Fitzpatrick (Marion), Daniel Fitzpatrick (Debra), Colleen Richard (Donald), Sean Fitzpatrick, Kim Fitzpatrick, Paula Tozer (Lloyd), Cynthia Gowan (Richard) and Todd Fitzpatrick (Gayle). Donna was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Eileen Fitzpatrick and brother, Kevin Fitzpatrick. Donna was a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing. After nursing for many years she became an instructor and retired as Director of Nursing Education at Hotel Dieu Hospital. She served as a member of the Planning Committee concerning Nursing Education at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Donna was a member of the well known Sanatorium Club and also of St. Michael's Senior Choir. She was on the provincial executive of the New Brunswick Women's Liberal Association and Regional Director for the Miramichi Area. Proud baseball and hockey mom Donna sang national anthems at local, provincial and national tournaments. She was a member of the Irish Cultural Society and the RCAF Wing. Donna's God given musical talents were well known and in recognition of her outstanding contribution to music and culture on the Miramichi she was inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame on October 16th, 1998. Donna spent countless hours giving of her time and talents to so many charitable events. She was a welcome sight at the Mount, weddings, senior citizen complexes, parish concerts, fund raisers and other events too numerous to mention. Her giv ing spirit will be missed by all, who had the pleasure of knowing Donna. She will be remembered as she lived .... with love, laughter and song. Visitation will be held from Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi on Saturday Nov 24th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Sunday Nov 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Nov 26th at 11am from St Michael's Basilica Miramichi with Fr John Fraser officiating. Interment will be in St Michael's Cemetery.
