GOSS, DORIS MAY - It is with deep sadness for our loss and heartfelt thanks for her life that we announce the death of our mother on November 25, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. After a period of failing health and surrounded by her family, Mom went to join our father, Murray Douglas Goss who passed away in 1971. Doris was born on October 28, 1923 to the late Cecilia Beaman (Sands) and the late John Beaman. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Goss (Leo) of Powell River, BC., Susan VanWart (J. Arthur) of Saint John, Debbie Perlinski (Mike) of Morinville, AB; her sons, Doug Goss (Leonie) of Saint John, and John Paul Goss of Richmond, BC; her sister, Ruth Dobbin of Saint John; her brothers, Jack Beaman (Phyllis) of Dartmouth, NS, and Don Beaman (Dot) of Saint John; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her sister, Kay Francis (Gordon) of Saint John. Mom worked at Simms until starting a family, then spent many years raising our family before working at Revenue Canada in Vancouver for 13 years before retiring. Mom spent her last 3 ½ years at the Meadowbank Manor and we say a special thank you to Joyce McGee and her staff for providing Mom with a home where she could live with dignity and receive the assistance that she needed. At her request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Castle's "Fallsview" Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave (634-1701) on Wednesday, November 28th, 2007 at 11 a.m.. Following the service a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
