SHAW, JACK RENFEW - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on November 27, 2007, Mr. Jack Renfew Shaw, husband of Christine Shaw of Canal, NB. Born in Bonny River, NB, on July 16, 1942, he was a son of the late Harold Cedric and Alma Fern (Delong) Shaw. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is survived by his wife, Christine; one son, Kenny (Edna Holtan) Shaw of St. Stephen, NB; two daughters, Kathleen Vautor (Russell Justason) of Pennfield, Erica (Tyson) Wells of Sarnia, ON; four step sons, Andrew (Joanne) Savoie of Ste. Sophie, PQ, Michael Savoie of St. George, NB, Richard (Patricia) Savoie of Kingston, ON and Hughie Savoie of Moncton, NB; two step daughters, Wilma (Kelly) Boyd of Edmonton, AB, and Roni-Sue Tracy of Canal; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Ellsworth) Wilcox of Pennfield, Eldene Powell of St. George; three brothers, Dale (Crystal) Shaw of Utopia, NB, and Earl (Joan) Shaw of St. George, Larry (Martha) Shaw of Lepreau, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one step son, David Savoie, and two brothers, Floyd and Cedric Shaw. Prior to his retirement, Jack was employed with Lake Utopia Paper for 25 years as an industrial mechanic and recently worked part time for Risers Construction. He loved traveling and woodworking and was a dedicated family man who loved and spoke of his family often. He was a former member of the Eastern Charlotte Lions Club and the local 523N of the Paper Worker's Union. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Resting at the Family Worship Center, 89 Mount Pleasant Road, St. George, NB, from where the service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Terry Messer and Rev. Darren Shorey officiating with interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Jack's memory donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
