LEGACY, JOSEPH "JOEY" EDWARD - Tragically, at his residence in Lepreau, NB on December 3rd, 2007, Mr. Joseph Edward Legacy passed away as a result of a house fire. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on May 12th, 1955, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Guitard) Legacy. A loving brother and uncle, he is survived by six brothers, Walter and Fred Legacy, both of Lepreau, Henry (Brenda) Legacy of Pennfield, NB, James (Danielle) Legacy and Jack Legacy of Quebec, Lester (Kay) of New River; three sisters, Marg Pitre (Byron Patterson) of Beaver Harbour, NB, Aggie Taylor of Glace Bay, NS and Mary Laking of Ontario; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one nephew, Eddie Legacy. Joey will always be known as "Our Hero" for saving the life of his brother while losing his own. He loved his family and enjoyed raking blueberries and doing puzzles. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am from the Gary E . Waycott Memorial Chapel, at the St. George Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Osborne officiating. In Joey's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Association of Community Living would be appreciated by the family.
