ALLAN MCKINNEY

MCKINNEY, ALLAN - It is with great sadness we announce the death of Allan McKinney, 74, of Quispamsis, husband of Anna (Dykeman) McKinney, on December 8, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his wife at his side. He was born in Saint John, son of the late Lloyd and Olive (Wiggins) McKinney. Allan was co-owner of the Hi-Way Drive-In Theatre. He was devoted to the trucking industry and received the million mile accident free award from Sunbury Transport. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and drives in the countryside. Allan was a member of Saint John's Anglican Church, Gagetown. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 56 years, Anna; daughter, Wanda Fudge (Paul Wetmore), Hampton; sons, Brent McKinney, Nauwigewauk, Gary McKinney (Lorraine), Apohaqui, Rickey McKinney (Sheila), Kitscoty, AB; eleven grandchildren, Trevor Blakney, Shawn Blakney, Michael McKinney, Lee-Anna McKinney, Lacey McKinney, Amanda McKinney, Jason McKinney, Chrystal Bedford, Allan McKinney, Rebecca McKinney and Emily McKinney; seven great grandchildren; sister, Verna Colwell (Doug), Rothesay; brother, Clifford McKinney (Doris), Nauwigewauk; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Eldon was predeceased by one sister, Annie Moore. At Allan's request there will be no visitation. A private funeral will be held at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel (832-5541), Hampton. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
