SAVOY, ALMER JOSEPH "MERL"- passed away on Saturday December 8th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Born in Newcastle N.B. on February 9th, 1933. He was predeceased by his step father, William Mallet and Margaret (Malley) Mallet. Almer is survived by his dear companion, Dianne Thibodeau, three sons, Armand Savoy of Ontario, Billy Savoy of Ontario and Danny Savoy of Calgary, a daughter, Loranda of Texas, one brother, Weldon Savoy of Toronto, a sister Hazel Guthro also of Toronto and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Almer was predeceased by a son Raymond, brother, Gerald and a sister, Gladys. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John NB. (646-2424). Visitations will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday December 13th, 2007 at 11 am. from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel". Interment will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery at a later date.
