REGINALD "DONALD" CLOWATER

CLOWATER, REGINALD "DONALD" - With saddened hearts the family of Reginald "Donald" Clowater announce the passing on December 14, 2007 at his home with his family. Born on December 2, 1930, in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mae (Lipsett) Clowater. Don will be missed by his best friend and wife of 55 years, Marion (Gough) Clowater. He also will be missed by his son, Tim Clowater (Carolyn Gillis) his three daughters and seven grandchildren, Joye (Dale) Forster, sons, Shawn (Tara Bourque) and Matthew; Anne (Richard) Willis, sons, Jonathan and Jamie; Lynn (Miller) Esson, children, Lyndsay, Peter and Matthew (Stephanie). He is survived by one sister and six brothers, Pauline Stevenson (Paul Webb) of Lower Hainesville, Harold (Marie) of Halifax, Jim (Barbara) of New Maryland, Gordon (Barb Wilcox), Wesley (Helen), Jack (Linda) all of Fredericton and Jerry (Donna) of Scarborough, Ontario; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was also predeceased by his second mother, Edith (Foshey) Clowater; sister, Mildred and two special aunts, Martha Lipsett and Mary Hodgson. Upon graduating from high school, Don went to work in the plumbing trade working for his father. In 1991, he retired as President of E.W. Clowater and Sons. Don kept busy in his retirement with his morning coffee breaks at Frank's round table, his mornings out with the birthday club, touring new construction sites, auctions and all those never ending projects. His greatest joys were his family and time spent at his camp at Yoho Lake where many happy memories were made. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Dunphy, Lynwood Evans, Ron Evans, Pat Boyle, Gordie Clowater, Bert Bates and Ebby Wilkins. Interment will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. Should you wish, donations to St. John's Stone Church or Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com Though we may mourn the passing of a loved one, we should also take comfort in the memory of the many kindnesses that they have performed.
