DOBBIN, RUTH GLADYS - The death of Ruth Dobbin, wife of the late R. Stuart Dobbin, occurred at her residence in Rocmaura Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. She was born on May 13, 1927 in Saint John, NB to the late John and Cecilia (Sands) Beaman. Ruth was employed at NB Tel until her retirement. She is survived by two sons, James (Pamela) of Bridgetown, NS, and Robert (Diane) of Quispamsis, NB; one daughter, Linda Stilwell of Renforth, NB; two brothers, Donald of Saint John, NB and John "Jack" Beaman of Halifax, NS; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine "Kay" Francis and Doris Goss. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, 634-7424 with visitation on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 11 am with a reception to follow the service. Interment to take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
