Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, March 18th, 2008, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Alexander, Louis (Laura), Peter, Vincent (Sheila), Lawrence (Cathy), Roderick (Maureen), Raymond (Gladys), Gordon (Dora), Maisie (Martin), Mary, Bernadette, Violet and Donna (Jabez), her 48 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mother was predeceased by her husband James Young, her son Luke, her daughter Marjorie, her grandson Alex Young, her granddaughter Bernadette Marie Young, her great granddaughter Dianna Tustin, her great grandson Zaki Balali; her daughters-in-law: Anna Young, Nellie Young, Gwen Squires and Valerie Young; her sons-in-law: Isadore Rubia, William Curnew and Lester Hynes. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th, 2008 and on Friday, March 21st, 2008. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake with Father Aidan Devine officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery on Wights Road, Deer Lake.
