HOLLOWAY, CAPTAIN BRIAN - Friends and colleagues of Brian will be saddened to learn he died New Year's Eve, 2007 in hospital in Poole, Dorset, England as the result of cancer. Following a career in education he went to sea, where he earned a Master's Ticket. He returned to England in the 1990's, where he served at sea until his retirement when he took up residence in Wimborne. He was born in England, February 1939 coming to Saint John to teach in 1964. He is survived by a sister, his wife Eileen, daughter Jessica and granddaughter in England, his son Simon, daughter-in-law and grandson in Australia. Brian was proud of his service in the Royal Marines. He was an inovative teacher and a good shipmate.
