SIBYL MUIR
MUIR, SIBYL - The death of Sibyl Muir of Bloomfield, widow of Marvin Muir occurred January 20th, 2008 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. She was born in Codys, NB, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Hetheringston) McIntyre. Sibyl taught school for twenty five years. She was an Honourary Life Member of Norton Branch Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she was a member for 50 years. Sibyl served on Bloomfield Women's Institute for 50 years and was made a life member. She was also Life Member of Carrie Johnson Women's Missionary. Sibyl was an active member of Central Norton United Baptist Church, Bloomfield, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Choir. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Muir-Russell (Weldon) of Saint John; three sons, Stuart G. Muir, Edmonton, AB, M. Donald Muir (Helene), Bloomfield, Douglas J. Muir (Bonny), Saint John; one sister, Katherine McNair of Pembroke, ON; one brother, George McIntyre (Bertella) of Lower Coverdale, NB; eleven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Monday. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, at Central Norton United Baptist Church, 435 Route 121, Bloomfield, with Rev. Mark Leary officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery in the spring. Memorials to Central Norton United Baptist Church, Dr. V.A. Snow Centre or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.reidsfh.com
