JOHNSTON, CYRUS- Mr. Cyrus Johnston of Route 111 Newline passed away on January 21, 2008 at the age of 69. Born in Hillsdale, he was the son of the late Austin and Mary (Allaby) Johnston and was the husband of the late Marlene (Sherwood) Johnston who passed away in 2004. Cyrus is survived by three sons, Tony of Hammondvale, Tim of Calgary and Todd and his wife Chrissie of Millstream; four brothers, Karrl and his wife Helen of Saint John, Travis and his wife Phyllis of Upperton, Humphrey and his wife Janie of Hillsdale Corner and Laverne and his wife Gail of Manitoba Rd.; five sisters, Winona Parlee and her husband Mac of Sussex, Evelina McKay and her husband Stuart of Shubenadec, NS, Betty Bettle and her husband Paul of Sussex, Juanita Keys of Sussex and Deonne Yeomans and her husband Jimmy of Salt Springs; his grandson, Noah as well as several nieces and nephews. Cyrus was predeceased by his brother, Anglin who passed away in 1965. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Hammondvale Cemetery.
