YOUNG, MILDRED DORIS - Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on Friday, February 8, 2008, Mrs. Mildred Doris (Richardson) Young, wife of the late Cyril Young of Hibernia Cove, NB. Born on Deer Island, NB on December 15, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Allison and Maude (Eaton) Richardson. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons; Raymond Young of Hibernia Cove and Gary Young of Chocolate Cove, NB; ten grandchildren, Faye Doughty, Teresa Richardson, Joan Thompson, Allison Young, Mark Young, Brian Young, Ralph Young, Julia Young, Suzanne Banks and Craig Young; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Stanford (Myrtle) Young; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Young and Dorothy Richardson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mildred was recently predeceased by her daughter- in-law, Maxine Young, who had nursed her at home since 2002; she was also predeceased by sisters, Marion Cline and Lelia Doughty; brothers, Harland, Raymond, Maxwell and Manning; and two great-great- grandchildren. Mildred loved knitting and cooking and was a member of the Leonardville Church of Christ. Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ from where the service will be held on Monday at 2 pm with Rev. Joel Bridges and Rev. Conrad Cline officiating. The interment will follow at the Leonardville Community Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Mildred's memory, donations to the IWK Children's Hospital, Halifax, or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
