ANTWORTH, GILBERT - age 83, of Coldstream, NB passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 23rd, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. Gilbert was born July 2nd, 1924 in Summerfield and was the son of the late Howard and Joycie (Gee) Antworth. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Donna (McGrath) Antworth; son, Kirby Antworth; stepson, Stephen Durkee; sister, Mildred Brown; and brother, Rolston Antworth. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Chastain-Durkee) Antworth of Coldstream; daughter, Echo (William White) Antworth of Bedford, NS; stepdaughter, Laura Little of Barrie, ON; stepson, William (Debi) Durkee of Seaford, Delaware; Four step grandchildren; one step great grandson; sisters, Nellie (Milford) Carmichael, Margaret Longstaff, Anna Sloat , Alberta (Fred) Dunkman, Elaine Love; brothers, Earl (Glenna) Antworth, Kenneth (Jean) Antworth, Harold (Gaye) Antworth, Philip (Glenna) Antworth, Malcolm (Carmen) Antworth; several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Britton Funeral Home, High Street, Hartland with visiting hours on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Coldstream Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Horsman officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Knoxford Cemetery at a later Date. Donations to the Coldstream Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family. www.brittonfh.ca
