HUGHES, JOHN ADAM - The death of John Adam Hughes, age 65, husband of Evelyn Patricia (Pat) Hughes, of Kiersteadville, NB, occurred suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 23, 2008. He was the son of the late Thomas and Jessie (MacKenzie) Hughes. He is survived by his wife; daughters Wanda Hughes and David Ryan of Saint John, and Tanya and Leo Sipkema of Midland; son Jason and Susan Hughes of Carter's Point; grandchildren Aaron Hughes-Ryan, Adam, Geena, Liam and Levi Sipkema, Hunter and Spencer Hughes; brothers James and Elaine Hughes of Hagersville, ON, David Hughes, of Hampton, Gordon and Heather Hughes of Midland and Ronald and Muriel Hughes of Belleisle Creek; sister Mary Elizabeth (Betty) McIntyre of Sussex; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Eleanor Hughes. The family will receive visitors at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 29, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held from Kiersteadville United Baptist Church, Route 850, Kiersteadville at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2008.
