GELDART, CATHERINE OLIVIA (1917-2008) - Pollett River, NB, Catherine Olivia Geldart passed away at the Palliative Care wing of Moncton Hospital on Saturday evening March 8th, 2008 in her 91st year after losing a 6 month battle with cancer. She was born at Parkindale, Albert County on July 30, 1917, the second daughter of H. Beverly and Lula C. (Geldart) Prosser of Parkindale. She leaves to mourn one sister, Frances Murray, Petitcodiac; one brother, Cecil (Agnes) Prosser of Calgary; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Nelson) Smith, Petitcodiac, Margaret "Peg" Reeder, PEI; brother-in-law, Evans (Myrtle) Geldart of Petitcodiac, along with many nieces and nephews. As well as her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Guy B. Geldart in 1989; and by an infant daughter, Adriene in 1940; sisters, Alice (John) Joyce in 1991, Verna (Wallace) Gillcash in 1995; and her younger brother, Clarence in 2006. She was a member of the Forest Glen Baptist Church and continued to attend the Prosser Brook Baptist Church when possible. She was a Dominion Life Member of the United Baptist Woman's Missionary Union and a valued member of her community for over seven decades. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Armstrongs Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, NB E4Z 4V5, with visitation from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, March 11, and funeral service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 12. Interment in the Prosser Family Cemetery in the spring. Memorials may be made to the Prosser Family Cemetery (memorial cards available at the funeral home), Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation Inc., or any other charity of your choice.
