MERCER, NELLIE - The death of Helen (Nellie) Mercer, age 82, of Moncton, NB and formerly of Bloomfield, Kings Co., NB, wife of the late Murray Mercer, occurred at her residence in the Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, NB, on March 9, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Winnifred (Gould) Marks. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn and Ronald Webster of Midland, Rose and Francis Arsenault of Moncton, and Wanda and Rick Morrell of Sussex; sons, Chester and Patricia Mercer of Summerfield and Russell and Hilda Mercer of Calgary, AB; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nellie was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Alfred Marks; sister, Winnifred Roberts. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Christ Church, Bloomfield, NB at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
