It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Ellen Regina Colombe (nee: Louvelle) announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the age of 80 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gilbert; grandson Freddy Davis; her parents Fred and Bridget Louvelle; and brothers Gerald and Walter Louvelle. She leaves to mourn her only son Gerald (Sherry); five daughters: Alma Sheppard (Melvin), Zeita all of St. George’s, Muriel Davis (Dean), Sandra Purcell (Tom) and Patty Colombe (Kevin) all of Stephenville, adopted sons Dean Louvelle of Ontario and Bernie Louvelle (Bernadine) of Alberta; sisters: Elizabeth Bennett (Livingston), Mary Blanchard (Kevin); brothers: Martin Louvelle (Mary) all of St. George’s, Joseph Louvelle of the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre; eleven grandchildren: Terry, Tanya, Jay Jay, Tracy, Darren, Roxanne, Kayla, Kelly, Chantelle, Kyle and Kory; seven great-grandchildren: TJ, Christian, Freddy, Charleze, Hope, Leevon and Hudson as well as other family members and friends. The family will be receiving friends at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
