WOODS, ROBERT DOUGLAS (1932-2008) - Robert Woods of Whitehead, Clifton Royal passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Saint John, the son of the late Edward Lorraine Woods and Edith Mae Davidson. Robert had been employed as a cook at the East Saint John Hospital, Ridgewood Veteran's Wing and Tim Horton's. He enjoyed country music, kitchen parties and bus trips with his friends. Robert also had a love of working outdoors. Robert is survived by his nephew, Edward Woods of Saint John; nieces, Susan and Sharon Woods of Toronto; Sisters in-law, Ruth and Sandra Woods; and Roberts adopted family, Bill and Sandra Wood and their children, Dawn, Lori, Gwen and Bill Jr. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, John "Babe" and Thomas Woods; and sister, Jean Reid. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
