BURGESS, ROSE J. - The death of Rose J. Burgess, widow of George Burgess, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, March 15, 2008. She was born in Dipper Harbour, a daughter of the late Daniel and Rosella (Kerrigan) Murray. She had been assistant manager of Henry Birks & Son for 48 years until her retirement a number of years ago. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by two nieces, one nephew, and several step-children. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock. Entombment will take place in Fernhill Vault with interment to take place in St. Brendan's Cemetery, Dipper Harbour, in the spring. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
