HENRY LLOYD ANTHONY

ANTHONY, HENRY LLOYD - of Anthony Lane, Waterford N.B., passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex on March 14, 2008 at the age of 85. Lloyd was born in Saint John on August 16, 1922. He was the son of the late Herbert Leslie and Olga (Magee) Anthony. Lloyd was the husband of the late Eleanor June (Henderson) Anthony who passed away in 1978, and Shirley Eileen (Allison) Anthony who passed away in 2005. Lloyd is survived by his two daughters, Lynne Anderson and her husband, Jon of Texas and Waterford, and Leslie Anthony and her husband, Brian Scoffield of Walker Settlement. Lloyd had two grandchildren, Nicole Barnett (husband Chris Gibbs) of Toronto, and Adam Barnett of Wolfville, NS; and one great grandson, Beckett Barnett. Lloyd is also survived by three sisters, Ruth Crocker of Portland, Maine, Eleanor Johnson of Saint John, and Kathleen McGirr of Vineland, Ontario. Lloyd was predeceased by his sister, Doris Moffatt of Redhead. Lloyd is also survived by step-daughter, Gail McBean and her husband, Gary of Fredericton; two step grandchildren, Tracy Fraser and Craig McBean; two step-great grandchildren, Garrison and Alexa Fraser. Lloyd was retired from CN/CP Telecommunications, where he was head of Installations in Ottawa. He was a former member of Albion Lodge #1, in Saint John, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Saint John branch #014. Lloyd loved downhill skiing at Poley Mountain, RVing, golfing and playing cards, especially 45's and crib. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex. A celebration of Lloyd's Life and a Torch Light Tribute will take place at Poley Mountain on Saturday March 22, 2008 from 7 to 9pm. A Memorial Service will be held a later date with the interment at Creightonville Cemetery.
