FORSYTHE, ALENA A. - Alena A. Forsythe, 80, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, March 20, 2008. Born in Hammondvale, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Hazel (Anderson) Alexander. Alena was a retired OR Supervisor at The Moncton Hospital and retired as an RN with 36 years service. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church, graduate of The Moncton Hospital School of Nursing, member of the Moncton Hospital Nurses Alumni and the Moncton Probus Club. She enjoyed needlework, traveling, bowling, cross country skiing and quality time at their cottage (Bellisle) and time with her family. Alena will be sadly missed by her husband, Carl E. Forsythe; sister, Jean Woodroffe, Saint John; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her sister, Lois and brother Milan. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton 858-1995, Saturday 7 to 9pm, Sunday, 2 to 4, and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, March 24, 2008, 1:00 pm, Rev. Don Hamilton officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
