JAMES CARSON SCHLOSSER
SCHLOSSER, JAMES CARSON - With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Carson Schlosser of Fredericton NB at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on March 20, 2008. Born in Springhill NS on June 3, 1939, he was a son of the late Jean and Ernest Schlosser. Jim is sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Florrie (McLean); his two children, and six grand-children; son, Dale (Carolyn) Schlosser and their children, Erin, Jillian, Matthew and J.J., of Toronto ON; daughter, Pamela (Dean) MacInnis and their children, Ally and Mia of Yellowknife, NWT; two sisters, Muriel (Stan) Latowski of Marquette MI, Arlene (Frank) Arsenault of Amherst NS, brother Blair Schlosser of Amherst NS; brother-in-law Walter (Donna) McLean of Fredericton NB, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces and later worked for the Department of Justice. He served with the First Battalion Black Watch, 2 RCR, 3 RCR, 2 Airborne Commando, Combat Arm School and retired as a Master Warrant Officer. In accordance with his wishes, Jim is being buried with his Blue Jays and Blackhawks caps. We hope they win the World Series and Stanley Cup in heaven! Resting at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr., Fredericton NB, visiting hours will be held at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Sunday March 23, 2008. A Black Watch tribute service will take place at 7pm Sunday March 23, 2008. The funeral service will be held at T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, York Funeral Home Monday, March 24, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. George Feenstra officiating. Interment will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
