SORENSEN, CATHERINE CLAIRE - The death of Catherine Claire Sorensen occurred on Tuesday March 18, 2008 at her residence, the Kennebec Manor Nursing Home. Born 1916 in St. Martins she was the daughter of the late Roland and Louise (Kane) Graves. She is survived by her sons, Gary Burchill of Alberta and Philip Sorensen of Saint John; daughter, Nancy MacDonald (Jim) of Shanklin Settlement; six grandchildren, Karen, Jamie, Peter, Julia, Shaye and Janet; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by first husband, Thomas Burchill; second husband, Peter Sorensen; sisters, Hazel, Elsie, Jackie, Rachel and Marjorie. By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, a private family interment will take place in St. Martins at a later date. The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of the donor's choice.
