PORTER, MARION - The death of Marion Porter of Bloomfield, widow of Harold "Gus" Porter occurred March 22, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Chipman, NB, daughter of the late Holden and Amy (Craig) Sears. Marion was a Remax Real Estate agent, operated the canteen at the Hampton Community Centre and was employed at Kredl's Corner Market for many years before retirement. She was a member of Pickwauket Lions Club, Christ Church A.C.W., and the Ladies Quilting Guild. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Totten (Daniel), Rocky Mountain House, AB; three sons, Allan Porter, BC, Dale Porter (Lisa), London, ON, Gerald Porter (Barb), Saint John, NB; two sisters, Linda Brown (Donald), William's Lake, BC, Judy Melnick (Michael), Hamilton, ON; three brothers, Leslie Sears (Pearl), Fredericton, NB, Harold Sears (Patricia), Chipman, NB, Carol Sears (Sharon), Chipman, NB; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Tuesday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton.
