SANFORD, MICHAEL SCOTT - The death of Michael "Mike" Sanford of Upper Hammonds Plain, NS, occurred on March 26th, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, NS. Born in Kentville, NS, he was the son of the late Neil and Margery (Starr) Sanford. Mike retired as General Manager of Brookville Manufacturing after more than twenty years of service; he sat on the boards for the Turnbull Home, Rothesay Regional Police and Rothesay Arena. Mike is survived by his partner, Dorothy MacDonald of Upper Hammonds Plain, NS, sons; Bill Sanford (Wendy), Quispamsis, Tim Sanford (Angela MacMullin), Quispamsis, Dan Sanford (Annette Armitage), Halifax and their mother, Margaret Sanford; sister, Mary Anderson, Holland. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Bradley, Rory and Gabrielle Sanford; extended family, Gail (Marco) Chris, Eran and Ben Imperatore of Ontario and Tammy MacDonald of BC; as well as, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2nd, 2008 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Rothesay, at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.
