TERRIS, ARTHUR E. - The death of Arthur E. Terris of Hampton, husband of Grace (Joyce) Terris occurred April 5, 2008 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Center, Hampton. He was born in Springhill, NS, son of the late Samuel and Mary (Burton) Terris. He was a resident of Quispamsis for forty three years moving to Hampton in 1998. Arthur was a veteran of World War II serving overseas with Saint John Fusiliers and Calgary Highlanders and Rocky Mountain Rangers in Holland, Belgium, France and Germany where he was wounded. Following the war he was employed with the Canadian Army. He was a member of Hampton Branch #28, Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, Grace; one daughter, Maryagnes Dernier (Jeff), Mississauga, ON; one granddaughter, Denise Tilley (Andy), Brampton, ON; one great-grandson, Cole Tilley; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm, Monday and parish vigil prayers at 2 pm. A legion tribute will be held Monday, 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at St. Alphonsus Cemetery at a later date.
