Passed peacefully away at home in Clarenville, with his devoted family at his side, on Monday, April 21, 2008, aged 62 years. Predeceased by parents Alfred and Lillian Green (Winterton). Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Shirley (George) of 39 years; daughters Cyndi (Trevor Darby) and Gina; sons Richard (Jill) and Robert (Kerry); grandchildren Alexia, Evelene, Sean and Cailyn; sisters Joan (Gord Hiscock), Jean (the late Bill Greeley) and Brenda (Don Evans); brothers Melvin (Eileen) and Don (Glenda); sisters-in-law Claire (the late Fred Higdon) and Eleanor (Cecil Pitcher), as well as a large number of relatives, friends and neighbors. Following cremation, visitations will be held on Tuesday 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2008 from Clarenville United Church with interment to follow at Clarenville United Church Cemetery, Old Church Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) or The Winterton Boat Building Museum.
